Hi, Iām tessa blue.
My entire life I have been drawn to people, I love making connections and helping others. I have worked directly with children and families for over fourteen years; in behavioral therapy as a Registered Behavior Technician, in psychology research at the University of Denver with mothers and their young children, as an independent nanny, childcare worker, and now as a postpartum doula. I am passionate about infant care and about sharing my knowledge to promote health, mindfulness, and the most beneficial outcomes for babies and their parents in the first influential weeks of life. I grew up in Seattle, earned my B.S. degree in Family and Child Studies at UNM in Albuquerque, and have lived in beautiful Colorado since 2018. I am certified through BirthWorks International and consistently keep up with new research about infant development, maternal health, and related fields. In my spare time, I enjoy doing yoga with my husband, exploring the mountains with my dog, and connecting with friends over good food.

My Approach
I take a very mindful approach to my work as a postpartum doula. It is my belief that all parents have the power within them to be amazing caregivers. It is my goal to instill confidence in you to trust your instincts, while providing evidence-based infant care skills that you can apply hands-on to your parenting, for the most beneficial outcomes for you and your baby. I aim to ease your load in the first weeks and months after your new baby is born, so that your family can enjoy this period with peace and love.
